All home, safe and dry, buzzing after a lovely club diving weekend to Swanage, Dorset – shore dives beneath the Swanage pier, and at Kimmeridge bay, and charter or shuttle boat dives on the wrecks of the Fleur de Lys, Black Hawk, Betsy Anna, Kyarra. Also a fun drift dive near Old Harry, and a dive on the Valentine Tanks meant there was variety, something for everyone – a total of over 70 individual dives, with diver ages from less than 16 to 65, from newly qualified members diving in the sea for the first time, to those with hundreds of logged dives who don’t count anymore. The weather was hot and the water calm and we could not have had better conditions really! We saw loads of fish and creatures and enjoyed good company in the evenings, but most were happy to get an early night after the dives each day – dive kit is heavy after all! Travel was challenging as the roads were busy and there were diversions in places. Would we go back? Oh yes!
