West Norfolk Sub-Aqua Club (WNSAC) is a SCUBA diving and snorkelling club open to everyone interested in underwater exploration.

WNSAC is a branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC). The club has been registered with BSAC since the early 1970s and at present has over 35 members.

The club is governed by an elected committee. The WNSAC committee and experienced instructor group is made up of dedicated members with a passion for diving, snorkelling, instructing and the welfare of all club members.

What we do

WNSAC is a very active teaching club. Both novice and experienced divers and snorkellers are encouraged to do as much training as they wish.

WNSAC members organise training and non-training dives throughout the season for a full range ability and interests.

WNSAC welcomes new members, and if you are interested in seeing what we do, please get in touch through the ‘contact us’ link. Alternatively come along to a club night at St James’ pool, King’s Lynn, held every Tuesday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

The main sport diving season generally starts around May and ends around October. Typically we dive at weekends throughout the summer, with the majority of the diving consisting of day trips to the local Norfolk coast. We dive from the shore and from boats, including WNSAC’s own RIB.

Diving trips further afield, for example Dorset and the Farnes, usually involve a long weekend away staying in B&Bs or camping.

WNSAC also regularly runs trips abroad, in amazing locations such as Egypt, Malta, and beyond!

The coastline of the British Isles has a lot to offer in terms of marine life and ship wrecks, all making for an interesting underwater experience.
